It has been 4 months for me as stay-at-home-mom (SAHM). I love being at home, taking care my own kids but i miss my job too. Working has been part of my life that I trade it off – just to be with my kids. There are conflict feelings and somehow I always feel upset to feel this way. There are days when I feel all alone, boring and less intelligent person. But when I think about the oppurtunity to be with the kids, I don’t feel regret for the decision I had made.

Being a mom is the most important job in the world, no doubt about it. Luckily I have a really understanding husband who always convince me and be there for me. Support from the people I love is really HUGE for me. Thank you all.

For your kind information, this is temporary, I will back to work one day, once everything has sorted out. InsyaAllah At this moment, I will just enjoy my motherhood time, and be a good wife to my husband.

It has been a long time since my last post. I am 27 years old with two adorable kiddies .. 2 years 8months Maryam and the latest addition in my family, Aisyah Suri 8months. This explained why this blog has been inactive for quite some times. I have lots of things to share to capture and just need right time to start with. Will update again, InsyaALLAH.

When Maryam was 8months old, I bought a set of crayon and drawing pad for her. I let her scribble on the drawing pad with my supervision , (there are few attempts that she tried to put the crayon in her mouth). I do not expect her to draw nicely, but I am happy to see that she know how to hold the crayon.
Now when Maryam is getting older, I bought her a set of colour pencil that is more smaller and sharper than crayons with new drawing pad and colouring book. She still scribbling all over the paper and I think now I should teach her to draw properly. I am very bad in drawing. I always drew the same objects like shapes , cat, house, flower and alphabet and I realized my drawing didn’t fascinate her at all. Hehe. And that’s encourage me to learn drawing so that I can teach her and make the drawing activities are more interesting ! Last night I browse over internet and found a website that teach us to draw. 
I have learnt to draw few object like cat, bird, car, bus and elephant and need to practice more and more. Practices make perfect. I cant wait to show my new drawing skills to Maryam ! I know she will love it

Last weekend was our company trip to Saigon / Ho Chi Minh city. Saigon is the largest city and most modern city in Vietnam, with the population of 7 millions people.  You will be suprised to see that motorcycle is the popular mode of transportation with more than 4 millions motorcycle on the road! The traffic in Saigon is crazy ! Driving on footpath, ignoring the red lights, not stopping for pedestrians, driving at wrong ways and etc.

During our stay at Saigon (3D 2N), we have managed to visit few must-visit places and some shopping. So lets the picture do the talking

War Remnants Museum . The place where you can see the collection of artifacts from Vietnam’s war – helicopters, fighters, bombs, artwork , pictures of violation, torture of American Army.

We also had a great half day experience at Chu Chi Tunnel. It was a massive and strategic underground tunnel built by Vietnamese during the American War. The tunnel are extremely SMALL and just imagine how they were able to survive – living in the tunnel , they slept, ate and even gave birth.

And also… shopping ! Ben Thanh Market is also one of the tourist attraction. I dont have pictures at the market since yours truly was busy shopping hehe. But I do have a picture at the night market.

In Vietnam we can easily find halal food. During our stay, the tourist guide has brought us the muslim to halal restaurant and the dishes are good . yummie

Ever since Maryam can walk way back on her first birthday, she seems to love walking more than anything else. With this new skills, she seems to be more independence and more assertive. She is curious about everything and ironically the things the fascinate her are just only ordinary objects such as spoons, battery charges, tissues or you name it. Her attention span also increasing that she is able to sit in front of television to watch Home Alone for 2 hours with giggling and babbling through out the movie.

 She also understands instruction better and more responsive. For example, I gave her simple instruction like “Maryam, take the book and come here read with Mummy” She will go the bookshelf and pickup one of her book and bring to me. Since the bookshelf is reachable for her, I always found out that she is reading her book alone while nobody attended her.

 Until today she’s not improved much on her language skills. Only yesterday while watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie on HBO, she keep saying and pointing at the dogs in the movie and saying “Thog” and “Thek” .. I think she was referring to dog and cat. Most of the time she is babbling but we are not able to understand a word.

 She can now scribble at the drawing pad more steadily when I gave her crayons and drawing pad. And we think that she is left handed since she used her left hand more than her right hand – to draw, to eat her cookies and pointing.

 That’s my girl. I love her so much and I hope I can be the best for her..
